Documentation obligations, traceability, quality management and vendor assessments are subject to the highest requirements in medical equipment production – abas BI and Power BI1 ensure quick evaluations and enable the use of mixed reality.

The focus of the German company is life, as WILAmed is an internationally operating manufacturer and distributor of medical devices and accessories for invasive and non-invasive ventilation. Three new software components decisively influence the quality, speed and sustainability of the processes: the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) from abas, abas BI Professional with Power BI from Microsoft.

"We wanted to make it possible for the employees to retrieve key figures and reports themselves and get rid of tiresome evaluations on paper and Excel sheets that were already outdated when they were printed. And we succeeded", says Dennis Jung.

As a next step, WILAmed plans to use Microsoft HoloLens2, which can be connected with abas BI through Power BI.

The implementation and installation time of abas BI was less than five days. The investment risk was therefore very low for us. The introduction with abas BI was very easy because the data is already prepared and evaluations can be created quickly and self-explanatory.
