The office furniture manufacturer Hammerbacher GmbH is the German market leader in supplying specialized dealers with office furniture. The ERP system from abas enables highly integrated processes across all locations in production, order processing, logistics and financial accounting. Hammerbacher uses a Multisite solution to connect the company headquarters and logistics department in the German town of Neumarkt with the production plant in Pukanec, Slovakia.

Using the ERP system, Hammerbacher is able to control the processes where they take place. This in turn enabled the company to make processes between Slovakia and Germany more efficient. Reaction times have improved significantly: The components of the ordered goods are picked just-in-time and leave the premises within two days after ordering in 97 percent of the cases. Based on a sophisticated shipping matrix, abas decides itself which forwarder is selected.

By communicating via Multisite we are able to control the processes where they actually occur. This has improved our reaction times even further. Ninety-seven percent of the orders leave our premises within two days. Scheduling and purchase order suggestions are now generated automatically by the system.
The better scheduling is working, the more liquid assets are available.
