The worldwide leading manufacturer of high quality plastic pipes, tubes, rods, profiles and plates began looking for an ERP system to replace their aging business software in 2001. Three of the 20 ERP providers in their selection were invited to present their systems. abas was selected for its handling, robust process support, manageability and ease of customization through the open interfaces as well as for the analysis tool provided by the abas partner.

The abas programming language, FOP, makes it possible for me to customize the system for our company‘s organization. I have added a trend orientation to production planning, but I don‘t need to worry about losing my customization during the next upgrade. My customizations are safe and will not be lost when the system is upgraded to the current release.
