abas ERP is introducing two new scheduling types, or ways that MRP looks at a part and generates its requirements, in v2016 called project-related and extended-requirements scheduling. The two main scheduling types that are already exist are sales-order related and requirements related.
The new project-related scheduling type is a more powerful version of the sales-order-related scheduling type. Instead of using the consider use in warehouse field it will use the project object to create procurement suggestions. This can be helpful for scenarios where the use isn’t complex enough and you need to use the project object, which goes across modules including scheduling, stock levels, and finance, as opposed to the use, which is strictly for schedules.
Extended requirement related:
With the extended-requirement scheduling, users will be able to tag incoming procurements, or existing stock, to a specific demand. This will be done by using the consider use in warehouse feature.
This displays the master screen in abas v2016 where you can find the new scheduling types under the requirement related drop-down menu.
