To celebrate our 14 year anniversary and appreciate how far we've come, it's time for a trip down memory lane! abas USA has evolved through countless new developments and innovations that continue to shape abas ERP, as well as its fair share of new logo designs. A lot has changed over the past 14 years—and not just our product, but hairstyles too.
In September of 2002, Alan Salton and Marko Becker founded abas USA. They rented out an office to study in depth abas ERP and begin developing a North American version, after being approached by abas AG about starting a U.S. branch of the company. Marko had interned for abas as a college student and was already familiar with the product and company.
In 2003, abas USA signed its first customer, Don’s Machine Shop, who is still a customer today! Don’s Machine Shop, located in Pittston, Pennsylvania, innovates and maintains machinery varying from water jet cutting to conventional machining.

In 2005, Nicolas Dormont joined abas USA after interning at abas France, and now serves as the company’s Vice President of Information Systems. In 2006 the team moved into a new office in Ashburn, Virginia, which started out as just one room with two desks and four chairs. They used the hallway outside of their office as a conference room.
In 2005 abas USA created FININ, an upgradeable Financial Integration System that tailors abas finances towards the U.S. financial practices and regulations. In 2007, abas introduced the first CRM system, which is designed to help users maintain business data regarding customers and prospects.

During this year, abas USA introduced portals and dashboards within the software. In 2009, abas USA had its first user Conference, which was held in the back room of the new office. Ever since, the conference, now called abas 360 USA, has been held every spring.
