Hauck Hydraulic Engineering GmbH decided to select a new ERP software in 2005. abas competed against three other providers in the final selection round. The selection team evaluated the respective offers, paying special attention to their flexibility, transparency, the user friendliness of the systems, and the options for creating individual solutions using personal adjustments. These characteristics were so important because owner-managed company it comprised of three independent departments (trade, construction, and repair) which nevertheless overlap each other very often. The implementation took a surprisingly short amount of time thanks to the well-developed project plan, the implementation concept, and the competent support of the project leader from the supporting abas partner. The company experienced much success after going live. abas greatly reduced the processing times of the sales personnel, for example. The individual adjustments such as the ”Price list import for trade products“ and ”Customer classification for field team planning using different criteria“ infosystems have now also become indispensable. The regular updates always keep the abas installation up to date technically and legally without losing individual adjustments.
