Don's Machine Shop

Don's Machine Shop, Inc. was founded in 1981 by Donald Eifert. He started the business in a small garage with a single milling machine and one lathe. Don took on jobs from customers that no one else wanted to do. Word soon circulated about the quality of Don’s work, and larger companies started sending him jobs too. Don dedicated himself to providing service and delivering parts whenever the customer needed them.

Since that start over three decades ago, Don's Machine Shop, Inc. has become one of the largest machine shops in northeastern Pennsylvania, an area famous for industry. Its 105,000 square foot climate-controlled facility employs 30 people who now make machine parts for companies around the globe.

Project highlights

Don's Machine Shop was the first customer to sign with abas USA, in 2003 when abas ERP was first being sold in North America, and it remains a loyal customer today. Since the implementation of abas, Don’s has seen consistent growth; the shop has expanded over 70% and features regularly upgraded state-of-the-art machinery. Don’s continues to improve the efficiency of everything it does, including existing processes, and delivering a higher degree of accuracy. While Don's Machine Shop has grown, abas has grown with it every step of the way.
