About ChromaScape

ChromaScape is a colorant and additives company based in Twinsburg, Ohio, that provides products under the brand names Amerimulch, Solution Dispersions, ChromaPave and Innotech. Established in 1998, Chromascape’s colorants are used in many familiar products, including colored landscaping mulch, colored pavement, decorative concrete, and carbon black color for paints, inks, paints and specialty products. The company is committed to providing Real Tangible Value to their customers in innovative ways. As a mid-sized manufacturer, ChromaScape needed to keep costs down and get as much value out of the abas solution as possible without customization. “Before we had abas, each manufacturing site would basically schedule their own production,” said Master Scheduler, Casey Jones. With abas, all four of ChromaScape’s manufacturing facilities can now interface with each other in real time. Prior to abas, ChromaScape had been relying on production information faxed in or called in by phone. Reports were available at the end of the week, long after the production had been completed.

We really respect abas’ determination to continually improve their products and services. It has really motivated us internally to do the same.

- Ryan Stayanchi, Director of Operations Planning

Project highlights

With diverse operations, including manufacturing facilities in multiple states and global product distribution, efficient coordination across teams and locations is critical to ChromaScape’s success. To this end, the company partnered with abas USA to refine its operations and promote more precise, data-driven operations. What was most important to ChromaScape was working smarter and in a more efficient way to meet the company’s high expectations for productivity and customer satisfaction.

ChromaScape can now gather production-related data from all of its operations and share data across the company in real time. This means better coordination and more data-driven decision making. And in turn, more satisfied ChromaScape customers.

ChromaScape also relies on abas ERP’s forecasting module to run their sales and operating planning, as well as several mobile apps that allow for greater flexibility and efficiency on the shop floor. They have also customized their reports and databases to fit their particular value indicators.
